Head South on either the I-805 or the I-15 Freeways. The store
is located between the two freeways on Miramar Road on the
North side of the street, just East of the pyramid.
Please invite your students and parents to attend. We are
also inviting the San Diego Branch to attend this great meeting.
Here is what to do:
1. Go to www.nsdmtac.com and click on Programs/Festivals.
Scroll down to Winter Festival and click on the link for more
information.
2. Then go back and click on Login on the home page. Log on
as a teacher, click MTAC Events then click the link to register
your students.
Just a reminder: You have to add students to your list before
you can sign them up for any events. Remember to click "Enrolled"
and fill out the student's name, lesson start date and birth
date information. Once you have entered in the student's information,
you just click on that student's name to register them for
most of our MTAC events.
Keyboard teachers, you may go on line and
enter your students’ literature and time requests. Voice,
strings and winds will still be the old fashioned method with
hard copies and student specifics mailed to you in January.
Here is a abbreviated version of the instructions. A very
detailed page from the website is available at the main website
www.mtac.org/ under Certificate of Merit,(on list on left
hand), then click on
CM Policies, etc. click on “Click here”, the on
the On-line Evaluation Form Instructions.
Go on line and log in.
Click on Student List.
Click on Edit Reg. Info., scroll to Edit Eval. Info. Click
on GO.
1. Fill out the repertoire information for
the level.
2. Fill in the required syllabus piece and page number.
3. If appropriate, check branch honors. DO NOT FILL OUT PIECE.
Evaluator will do this if branch honors is given.
4. Check Convention if applying for this program. Fill out
the complete Title, Movement, exact timing. (it is best to
read the complete instructions for this in the following instructions
from the mtac website. You will need to check the program
you are applying for, only 1, and fill out the information
completely.
5. Request Day and Time. This is mandatory for our branch.
Day: No Request is either day. Day 1 is March 18, Day 2 is
March 19.
Time: No request is all day. AM-8:30-1:00, PM 1:45-6:00.
Carpool. You must use the students’ user name to insure
that they are scheduled together. Use this space for a duet
team.
6. When you check all parts of the program, hit SUBMIT. You
may edit this at any time and resubmit the changes up to January
31th.
All information must be on line ON OR BEFORE
JAN. 31,2006.
We will try to honor all requests, however, it is on a first
come first serve bases and based on availability of site.
Put your requests in early.
Panel Keyboard: You should have received
instructions on where to mail your student evaluation forms.
They go directly to the Panel Regional Chair, not to me. Deadline
is January 15th. A hard copy of the program must be sent by
mail. These are not done on line. Follow all instructions
in the letter.
Certificate of Merit Newsletter is available
for all to read and is on the main website, www.mtac/org.
For keyboard teachers, this is invaluable information about
the new literature requirements with questions and answers
at the end. Some of these might be your concerns. I highly
advise reading this newsletter.

Ozzies’s Music. To apply, you will need to go to the
State website, www.mtac.org/ and click on the VOCE link. You
can down load the application, literature requirements and
other information. The deadline for applying will be January
